We bring a whole new meaning to "Blended Family"... The story of how we found our way home together.

Hello PT

So we got our transfer today. We moved to room 665A which is right at the center of the PT "dome". We're right in the middle of all the action! Isaac starts tomorrow. He will start his day at 8am with breakfast and will then have PT and activities from 8:30am-3:30pm! Then it's free time from there. He will have 3 hours a day of intensive PT and 1 hour of summer school. Then they spend the rest of the time doing strength training and flexibility!

I should know in 4-6 weeks when we will be going home, if it doesn't happen before that. Isaac has what they call an "incomplete spinal cord injury". Which means that the spinal cord wasn't severed, it was just damaged and hurt during the surgery, which makes sense considering the spinal cord was stretched and pulled for the last 8 years while the spine twisted and curved.

The spine at this point just needs some time to heal and go back into it's regular mode. In the mean time PT will teach Isaac how to walk since the signal from the brain to the legs isn't as strong as it should be, so the legs don't quite know what to do. Isaac's in much better spirits and is more eager to get out of bed which is awesome, and he asked me today if we are still going snowboarding at Christmas! So my Isaac is coming back! Pictures to come soon!

It is wonderful to hear Isaac has made it into the 'dome' and his spirits are up. I will continue to pray for you both!
