UPDATE

So this week has been great.  We got a much needed update on Jack.  Nothing like updated photos to make something feel all the more real.  Also our agency called China and said, "listen we have a family that really wants this kid, but they can't turn in their documents until April 8th (mama's 30th birthday).  Is there anyway you will lock his file in advance for them.  Come on you know you want too."  An awesome Chinese dude took a look at our info and then at Jack's and said, "Hell yeah I will".

SO JACK IS OFFICIALLY LOCKED AS "OURS"!!!!

We also got the news that Jack is actually 10 years old NOT 11.  There had been some issues with his paperwork, where in more than one document it listed him as being born in 2001, but when asked he said 2002 and the other documents confirm this.  They checked his documents and indeed the kid is only 10.  This makes Isaac very happy.  He said he is more of a big brother now instead of almost equals in age.  It also makes his extreme tininess not so huge.

Since October 2011 he has grown about an inch but is still listed as wearing a size 12 shoe.  That is toddler size, so the kids got little feet.  He looks so grown compared to the last photos we had of him that were 14 months old.

They said he is in 4th grade at a regular school and is considered a leader not only in the Young Pioneers, but in his grade as well.  They said he shows great intelligence and is very athletic despite his spinal cord issues.

I think he will fit right in!
